Samba + GEOM_MIRROR -> Crash "SETFEATURES SET TRANSFER MODE semaphore timeout !!"

Hallo Liste,

seit kurzem nutze ich GEOM_MIRROR unter FreeBSD 6.0-STABLE
mit zwei neuen ATA Festplatten an einem Promise PDC20268.
Seitdem bleit das System sporadisch stehen, insbesondere dann,
wenn ich große Datenmengen via Samba (Client ist Windows XP,
Server ist besagte FreeBSD Maschine mit samba-3.0.20b,1)
ablegen will, z.B eine Datensicherung mit ca 20 GB.

Im syslog werden dazu keine Einträge protokolliert, nur
auf der seriellen Console erscheinen die Meldungen

Im Anschluss hilft nur ein Reboot, der getty auf der seriellen
Konsole reagiert noch auf Eingaben (das login prompt wird dargestellt),
aber das wars dann auch.

Folgende Konstallationen habe ich bereits getestet.

a) GEOM_MIRROR mit gm0s1(ad4s2 und ad6s2),
    swap auf ad4s1b und ad6s1b
    Kopieren via Samba auf /home
-> Crash, Meldung (1), Meldung (3)

b) GEOM_MIRROR mit gm0s1 (ad4s2 und ad6s2),
    kein swap
    Kopieren via Samba auf /home
-> Crash, Meldung (1)

c) GEOM_MIRROR mit gm0s1 (ad4s2),
    kein swap
    Kopieren via Samba auf /home
-> Crash, Meldung (2)

d) GEOM_MIRROR mit gm0s1 (ad4s2),
    ad6s2[adef] direkt nach /mnt gemountet,
    kein swap,
    Kopieren via Samba auf /mnt
-> geht
    lokales Kopieren von /mnt nach /home
-> geht
    Kopieren via ftp auf /home
-> geht
    Kopieren via sftp,scp auf /home
-> geht

Der nach jedem Crash notwendige gmirror synchronize lief
immer problemlos zuende.

Ursprünglich waren die Festplatten an einen SiI 0680 UDMA133
angeschlossen. -> gleiche Symptome a)-c).

Viellecht gibt es ja jemanden auf dieser Liste, der
einen Workaround kennt (samba downgraden, fxp0 auf
polling umstellen, auf RELENG_7 upgraden, ... ).
